An Austrian Company Successful Worldwide

In 1995, when voestalpine AG went public, the Group had approximately 15,000 employees and revenues of 2.4 billion euros. Aside from foreign sales offices and a section production plant in Belgium (SADEF N.V.), the Group was limited to Austrian locations.

In 2008, following the best financial year in the company’s history, the revenue of the voestalpine Group reached new dimensions, rising above the 10 billion euro mark. The Group now has more than 41,000 employees, the majority of whom are employed outside Austria, and is represented by more than 360 production and sales companies in around 60 countries throughout the world, including all global growth markets.

In many of these regions, the voestalpine Group is the technological leader in many niche products. Our history is a success story that has taken us from Austria and Europe to the entire world.
